Video game banking business Xsolla has launched its Xsolla ZK ring on Ethereum‘s Sepolia testnet, introducing a “digital suitcase” for on-chain digital products.
Using Xsolla ZK’s “digital backpack”, engineers, product designers and game network providers will be able to store and manage in-game items on-chain. ” Xsolla ZK is not just about creativity, it’s about creating real value for the game community”, said Lee Jacobson, Senior Vice President of Business Development Web3 at Xsolla, in a media release shared with .
Using Ethereum layer-2 Zksync and its zero-knowledge templates technology, Xsolla ZK may join the cluster of interconnected stores that make up the Elastic Chain. Zero-knowledge proofs, a type of crypto that allows someone to very prove a statement to be true without providing any further details about it, are a form of expanding solutions.
Building on the Xsolla habitat, which has seen over 1, 000 developers and publishers using its systems in more than 2, 500 games over the past 20 years, Jacobson claimed that the use of zk-rollups provides game developers with a “scalable and innovative solution connecting with the socioeconomic models they are familiar”.
” For gaming communities to grow, it’s important to close the gap for both clients and contractors”, said Rich Kim, Head of Gaming at Matter Labs, the principal developer behind Elastic Chain. Kim added that builders need, “proven, plug-and-play system to release abundant features while handling the functionality required by large usage games”.
Having previously supported gaming firms including Valve, Take-Two, KRAFTON and Nexters with its tools and services, Xsolla has ample experience of helping game developers and publishers of all sizes to fund, market, launch, and monetize their games globally and across multiple platforms.
With Xzolla ZK’s digital backpack, Kim outlined the need for “easy-to-use and convenient in-game features and payment options that can be leveraged across a broad ecosystem of games” and” carving a path for gaming to transition and thrive in Web3″.
