One of the biggest obstacles to popular adoption is one of the proposals that Solana developers have put forward that could change how its bitcoin handles billions of customer accounts.
A “lattice-based” encoding program that fundamentally alters how the blockchain tracks and validates user account states is introduced in the proposal.
Following approval, the proposal had set a new standard for blockchain scalability, possibly influencing how different networks approach similar expanding challenges.
” The main purpose is to level Solana to billions]of] accounts and determine a” cipher of all records “in useful time and space”, the plan reads, outlining a solution to a problem that has long plagued high-performance blockchains.
Now, Solana and another blockchains need to recalculate the whole state of all consumer accounts frequently. However, this method becomes extremely demanding as the channel grows.
The problem has been dubbed the” state development problem” among bitcoin engineers. Anatoly Yakovenko, a co-founder of Solana Labs, and Anatoly Yakovenko spoke about the problem in May of last year.
” The issue boils down to this straightforward fact: New bill development has to really create new accounts. Which requires that a new bill must establish that it is in some way novel,” Yakovenko said.
The Accounts Lattice Hash update eliminates that need by enabling quick verification without having to calculate anything over.
The method draws inspiration from a cutting-edge encrypted technique known as “homomorphic hashing,” which allows the network to update its condition verification just after it has processed previously changed accounts.
The same 128-bit protection level is maintained with this new system, while significantly reducing mathematical costs.
Early applications of the new technique have shown promising outcomes, with two validation customers, Agave and Firedancer, demonstrating its practical practicality, according to the plan’s artists. To find out more, reached out to Yakovenko and the scholars.
The switch will be introduced through Solana’s official enhancement procedure, requiring network-wide stimulation through validator ballot.  ,
Developers suggest a continuous deployment, allowing nodes to test the new hashing system before activating it completely.
