A trader found a Bitcoin redemption card last month in a$ 50 pack of cards that was valued at more than$ 100, 000.
Purchased online directly from trading card brand Cardsmiths, the Bitcoin card—redeemable for a single BTC, valued as high as$ 108, 786 at one point in January—came from its 2024 Holiday Currency Set, which features festive and crypto related trading cards.  ,
Crypto forgiveness cards, which can be found in about 1 out of every 96 boxes, are also included alongside tickets from the Gingerbread Guy and Charles Dickens. Particularly this one was for a whole Cryptocurrency.
According to Cardsmiths user Steve Loney,” this most recent breakthrough from our Money Holiday 2024 Investing Card series merely shows that any pack pull has the ability to become a once-in-a-lifetime experience.”  ,
The set includes redemption cards for other well-known crypto assets, such as Ethereum ( ETH), Litecoin ( LTC ), and Dogecoin ( DOGE ).  ,  ,
This isn’t the first Bitcoin forgiveness cards discovered from a Cardsmiths set group, but it’s among the largest-ever redemptions in the company’s past.  ,
A collector discovered a third full Bitcoin forgiveness cards last year in a$ 33 Cardsmiths pack that GameStop sold last year. In the same vein, a GameStop in Texas sold a package to a collectors who discovered a whole Bitcoin redemption cards in March 2024.
Initial reports from Cardsmith’s family business Tonyk suggested that five Bitcoin forgiveness cards were produced with the first line. At least three whole Bitcoin tickets have been discovered and publicly disclosed throughout its various set, despite it’s unclear whether that count includes future models.
The Cardsmiths site has sold out of all Currency Series 5 and SPACE: Galactic Edition boxes at this time, but the company plans to release both of those products later this month. Crypto forgiveness cards may be randomly inserted into each collection.
