The first exposure to the Ronin Network’s Forgotten Runiverse, a role-playing game based on the Ethereum NFT set, allows players to learn magic and make rewards as they discover the available fantasy universe of Forgotten Runes Wizard’s Cult. &nbsp,

The show’s fresh home, Ronin Network, announced the release as the result of three years of development work and more than one million hours of game tests, according to a post by the company’s new house, which made the decision to switch from Ethereum layer-2 system Arbitrum next year. &nbsp,

The first real-live Web3 MMORPG was just launched, according to the company. And it’s free, Bearsnake, Forgotten Runes ‘ pseudonymous co-founder and CEO, said. ” The world, storylines, and even NPCs are based on a blend of teamwork and community lore,” said one player.

The Forgotten Runiverse debuts with its first significant game content update, Moonlit Wilds, after three playtests. Players in Moonlit Wilds can complete up to 32 spells, gain access to land plots, construct new structures, craft and mint items, and complete quests. &nbsp,

The launch comes after the most recent playtest for the game, Crash the Runiverse, where it asked players to push the server’s capacity to the limit to prepare for the launch. Users who qualify for that test, as well as for earlier playtests Eve of Memory and New Foundations, are now able to claim their Quanta, the world’s in-game currency, for free. &nbsp,

When the token generation event takes place, Quanta will ultimately be used to claim XP, the Forgotten Rune’s native token, as well as other partner reward tokens.

Users who have a portion of Quanta that needs to be claimed will have until May 7 to do so, as otherwise the remaining coins will be given to players who purchase or earn Mana in-game. &nbsp,

The game’s developers anticipate that it will remain in early access for” a while,” citing the difficulty and “massive undertaking” that come with creating an MMO. &nbsp,

The project stated in a pre-launch article on X ( previously Twitter ) that” the full version of the game will bring significantly more polish, content, and completeness.”

Forgotten Runiverse, the first Web3 game to be accepted for development across all three major console platforms, including Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo, was recently hailed by the developers of the game. On Xbox and PlayStation, other blockchain games like Off the Grid, Moonray, and My Pet Hooligan are being developed, though the crypto elements are handled differently than on PC.

Forgotten Runes has previously raised money from Alexis Ohanian’s Seven Seven Six venture fund to expand its world. &nbsp,

One day after Ronin Network NFTs went live on the OpenSea marketplace, the game’s early access launch furthers the gaming-focused Ethereum scaling network’s “open” initiatives to bring Ronin to even more users and developers.
