Dogecoin Dips to Five-Month High Price on Coinbase Listing Programs

Ethereum meme coin Floki ( FLOKI ) is one of Friday’s big winners, surging on the back of Coinbase announcing that it has added the dog-themed coin to its listing roadmap.

The token jumped to a five-month high price above$ 0.00027 after the news, rising 21 % in less than an hour per data from CoinGecko. Overall, Floki—which was named after Elon Musk’s real-life dog—is up 16 % over the last 24 hours, with the recent spike overcoming some losses earlier in the day as crypto prices broadly correct after a recent surge. In the last seven days, floki’s rate has almost doubled.

Crypto tokens are included in Coinbase’s listing roadmap because the unified British exchange is thinking about listing them. We’ve seen the organization make quite a few quick moves on this front in recent days, though it’s not certain whether the coin may be added for spot trading.

On Wednesday, Coinbase put a pair of other prominent meme coins—Ethereum’s Pepe ( PEPE ) and Solana’s Dogwifhat ( WIF ) —on its roadmap, and then began spot trading for both by the end of the same day. Pepe reached a record-breaking high that day, but Robinhood even gained ground that morning, thereby boosting its standing.

According to CoinGecko, each of the three joke coins ranks among the top 50 cryptocurrencies in terms of market cap. Coinbase has previously adopted meme coins more carefully than some rival exchanges, but it may be doing so more quickly now that Donald Trump has pledged to ease crypto regulation in the United States.

Over the past year and a half, the price of many popular bitcoin has increased, with Bitcoin experiencing a fresh record-breaking high above$ 93, 000. That’s about$ 20, 000 higher than the previous peak, which was broken on Election Day.

Dogecoin, the first and most expensive image coin by market cap, had been spearheading the meme movement for a while, rising to a three-year higher and more than doubling in value over the course of a week.
