As Dogecoin and Bitcoin Hit Weekly Highs, Solana and XRP Surge

As Bitcoin and Dogecoin reach regular spikes, both possessions have increased by at least 10 % in the past year, making Solana and XRP two of the most popular cryptocurrencies.

Those aren’t the only altcoins to make a double-digit percentage gain over the past day, with Cardano ( ADA ), Avalanche ( AVAX ), Chainlink ( LINK), and Stellar (XLM) also doing the same among the top 20 cryptocurrencies by market cap.

Such spikes come as Bitcoin climbed above the$ 97, 000 mark for the first time in more than a week Thursday, sitting at$ 97, 015 as of this writing. It’s up 3.5 % on the day, with the market-leading stock’s rise likely driving additional benefits in the market.

Bitcoin just set an all-time price high above$ 108, 000 in December, but then proceeded to dip below the$ 92, 000 mark as recently as December 30.

Dogecoin, the leading meme coin, is also up to a weekly high price at$ 0.34, rising more than 7 % on the day. Despite exceeding its three-year higher value target in December, the infamously dangerous coin dropped below$ 0.27 on December 20 as a result of a wider crypto market selloff.

No meme coin in the top 100 cryptocurrencies is having a better day than Fartcoin ( FARTCOIN), however, which spiked 47 % over the past day to a current price of$ 1.40, after reaching a new all-time high of$ 1.45 earlier Thursday.
