A bill introduced by Republican Senator Dusty Deevers to incorporate Bitcoin into Oklahoma’s sector has been introduced.  ,
The Bitcoin Freedom Act ( SB325 ) seeks to give employees and vendors in the state the option to conduct transactions in Bitcoin, offering an alternative to the inflation-battered U. S. dollar, according to the Senator.
” In a time when prices is eroding the purchasing power of hard-working Loading, Bitcoin provides a unique opportunity to protect profits and purchases”, Deevers said in the statement , on Wednesday.
If approved, the construction would secure the use of Cryptocurrency across state firms, private companies, and personal purchases while ensuring compliance with existing regulations.
Deevers framed the act as a step toward fostering innovation, increasing governmental accountability, and driving economic development in the state.
The politician also cited Bitcoin’s decentralized nature and fixed supply as defenses against what he referred to as Washington D.C.’s “reckless spending and money printing” ( ).
This minor but potentially revolutionary change has the power to offset the harms caused by inflation and create Oklahoma a leading nation who embraces the future of financial technology, Deevers wrote on Wednesday.
The Senator noted Bitcoin’s fall as a “promising solution for preserving wealth”, tying it to the current political climate.  ,
He remarked,” There is a cause President Trump campaigned heavily as a pro-Bitcoin member and spoke at important Bitcoin situations.” Bitcoin has undoubtedly been a major contributor to the financial future of our economy.
The President-elect has become a vital advocate for integrating Bitcoin into the U.S. business thanks to Trump’s support for Bitcoin and his nomination of pro-crypto authorities like Paul Atkins to guide the SEC. At least, according to crypto opponents.
This isn’t Oklahoma’s second venture into bitcoin. Last May, the state passed the Bitcoin Rights Bill ( HB3594 ), protecting residents ‘ rights to self-custody Bitcoin and use crypto for legal purchases.
The 60th congressional session, which starts on February 3, is expected to examine the Bitcoin Freedom Act.
