The two organizations announced on Wednesday that Star Atlas, an approaching sci-fi video game from Solana, is working with SingularityNET, a founding member of the Artificial Superintelligence Alliance, to incorporate AI agents into its spacefaring online earth.
The collaboration, according to Star Atlas developer ATMTA, uses the Autonomous Intelligent Reinforced Symbolism, or AIRIS, system from SingularityNET and the OpenCog Hyperon platform to create dynamic AI agents and NPCs that change with players.
In a statement, ATMTA co-founder and CEO Michael Wagner said,” Integrating advanced AI is about creating the ultimate world-building events and celebrating people in our active, distributed ecosystem.”
SingularityNET’s open-source AI model OpenCog Hyperon was created to help people think like humans by learning, keeping, and logic from experience. Another Artificial system, called AIRIS, learns by interfering with its surroundings, enabling it to solve problems freely without relying on predetermined instructions. These techniques support Hanson Robotics and SingularityNet’s SophiaVerse project, which uses the Sophia Robot as a platform for distributed leadership and equipment.
A blockchain-based, place exploration-themed role-playing activity with a focus on 2620 is Star Atlas. Although a pre-alpha” Store” practice was added to the Epic Games Store in September 2022, the full-fledged, wide open-world game is still in development. SAGE Labs, a browser-based activity that is a part of the larger Star Atlas world, was launched by ATMTA in October 2023.
As Star Atlas continues to evolve, Wagner argued that integrating sophisticated technology like AI agents is crucial to enhancing person commitment and scaleability.
Imagine AI agents working with people to support onboarding, progression, annual adventures, enabling our wealthy economy with player tools, scaling and expanding Star Atlas ‘ numerous kingdoms and personalization chances, he said.
By incorporating SingularityNET frameworks like AIRIS and OpenCog Hyperon into Web3 gameplay, Dr. Ben Goertzel, SingularityNET’s founder and CEO, said in a statement that” we’re not just improving the user experience; we’re also advancing the co-evolution between humans and AIs in a virtual world that will increasingly mirror the complex dynamics of the real one.”
SingularityNET, which was created in 2017 by Goertzel and David Hanson, is a decentralized marketplace for AI models that makes advanced AI accessible to everyone.
Goertzel cited the wider purpose of the Star Atlas integration with AI agents, arguing that this strategy demonstrates how decentralized networks and token economies can advance the development of superintelligence while empowering global developer and player communities.
By creating this on Solana and Sophiaverse and within the ASI Alliance ecosystem, he said,” we’re demonstrating how decentralized networks and token economies can advance the development of superintelligence while empowering global developer and player communities.”
The inclusion of AI by Star Atlas is in line with a growing trend in the wider blockchain ecosystem. A rise in projects centered on autonomous artificial intelligence programs has resulted from the industry’s fascination with AI agents. According to CoinGecko, AI agents have a combined market cap of$ 4.8 billion, and$ 1.3 billion is for launchpads.
