Land Frens, a well-known Telegram game, acknowledged earlier this week that its FREN gift had been misaligned when it first launched on Ethereum layer-2 network Base. He also shared a number of upcoming developments as it seeks to regain the trust of players and investors.

The Farm Frens group experienced complex issues with all of the key components of the key technology event, or TGE, in order to be claimedable by ready participants subject to its January 20 snapshot. That includes issues with token distributions, claiming, and holding, plus its try at a book engineer called” Frensurance” which taxed transferred airstrike claims.

” Dear Frens, we fucked up”, the project posted on X ( formerly known as Twitter ). We are aware that many of you anticipated our TGE, and we disappointed you.

Psymous project leader Kaizen, who paid the most attention to issues with sign says, provided a detailed explanation of the problems. Due to these issues, some terrible users were unable to obtain their allocations. &nbsp,

” Our group had thought it would be a good idea to support fuel costs for one’s resupply claim”, he wrote. ” Though we conducted effective tests on our local nodes, we neglected to account for the fact that our mainnet may be substantially slower than our tests” says the statement.

” To our dismay, after we went live we realized people were getting claim problems, so we had to throttle: Some people got wonderful, but some do fail”, he added.

The project now offers a contact form to those who still have trouble claiming their FREN token and believes that this problem and another related to token balances not appearing after claim have been resolved.

” We deeply apologize for all the technical issues users faced when claiming”, the project founder continued. I can assure you that this was not intentional, despite several community members making comments suggesting otherwise.

Farm Frens made plans to drop its token on Base in January, but the messaging app delayed its release and sounded off on Telegram after revealing a deal with The Open Network ( TON ) to offer crypto integrations. Any Telegram games or mini apps built after that would need to switch to TON or remove blockchain functionality.

The network was created within Telegram before the messaging service dumped the project in 2020 due to regulatory scrutiny, despite the fact that TON operates independently from Telegram. Since late 2023, however, Telegram has become more closely aligned with the community-led TON.

Farm Frens changed its plan at the time, signaling its intention to launch a standalone wallet and expand to other platforms, including the Line messaging app, which is particularly well-liked in Japan. The introduction of a new season of in-game content when it launches on Line in Q2 is included in its updated product roadmap.

FREN has lost 9 % in the last 24 hours, and its market cap is currently$ 1.5 million.
